Hi, I’m Krzysztof!

I’m 67 years old and I’ve been on HDF dialysis for three years — three sessions a week, no exceptions.

When I got my diagnosis, I was convinced my travelling days were over. I’d spend the rest of my life in my hometown of Toruń. No more Rome. No more new places, new flavours, new adventures. I was devastated.

Luckily, my son didn’t give up. Within just one week, he found an app called BookDialysis — and suddenly the world wasn’t closed off after all. First booking: Rome. First trip on dialysis. And everything changed.

I created this blog to show you that dialysis doesn’t mean the end of travel — and to help you plan your own trip without the unnecessary stress I once felt.

What you’ll find on Dialysis Voyage:

  • My Trips — stories from my travels. Rome, Sicily, Provence, and other places I thought I’d never see again.
  • Travel with Dialysis — how to prepare for a trip, my experiences with clinics around Europe, and honest warnings about the problems I ran into.
  • List Clinics in Europe — a list of dialysis clinics across Europe that I’ve personally visited or that come recommended by fellow travellers. So you don’t have to search in the dark.
  • Useful Apps — mobile apps that genuinely make travelling on dialysis easier.
  • Lifestyle — restaurants, bars and places worth visiting on your dialysis trip.
